The Wilier 0 SLR is known for its innovation in lightweight integration. As the choice of climbing bike for the Asthana Pro Cycling Team, this bike was engineered with feedback from some of the best riders in the world. This version of the frame features the Astana paint job and was hand painted in Italy. The frame comes in at under 800 grams in its medium size, yet also fully accommodates internal cables and disc brakes. Due to their connection to a professional team, Wilier chose to use the Mavic quick release thru-axle system on this bike. When fully built up, your Wilier 0 SLR can still come in under 7kg. They added aerodynamic features where possible without altering its ultra-lightweight status, giving riders a fast and stable road bike that can climb with the best of them.

At first glance, most people notice the clean look of the Wilier 0 SLR Frame. This is due to its innovative integration. Derailleur cables can be routed through a monocoque handlebar which can be integrated into the frame. Please note that this frame is designed only for electronic groupsets. Easy fit spaces can be placed between the headset and handlebar and feature a special cavity for routing cables. At the rear, you will find a carbon monocoque seatpost that is designed specifically for this frame. It has an aero profile and is compatible with a Ritchey 1-Bolt seatpost clamp. It attaches with an expander that is in the tube, creating the cleanest look and best integration.

To perform at the highest level, stiffness has to be a priority in addition to weight. Rather than adding carbon which would add weight to the frame, Wilier used a unique blend of carbon types and strategically placed the fibers where stiffness increases were needed. Using this process, they increased their previous model’s stiffness to weight ratio by 24 percent. Another way they increased the speed of the 0 SLR was through an asymmetrical rear triangle. This prevents lateral oscillation created by the chain side, avoiding dispersion of energy to the rear wheel. With all of your pedaling power being translated directly to the wheel, you can count on maximum speed.
