Considered by many to be one of the finest American titanium framebuilders, Mosaic Cycle's flagship road racer and crown jewel is modestly known as the RT-1. A raw assemblage of titanium, it's where head welder Aaron Barcheck and company have pulled out all the stops from their hermitage in Boulder, Colorado.

The Mosaic RT-1 begins life as a 3/2.5 titanium tubeset, after which the front triangle is custom-butted by Mosaic for the rider - a step many other Ti builders don't bother with. Why? Weight. And ride. Mated to an oversized 44mm headtube that an ENVE Road fork slides into, the RT-1's front-end can be built as stiff as even the most stout of carbon bikes. Just as well, the rear triangle of the RT-1 is rock-solid, with massive chainstays giving it an instant, drive-by-wire acceleration feel. Internal brake routing is standard on the RT-1. It's also available as a disc brake-equipped bicycle with flatmount disc tabs at no extra charge. All of Mosaic's raw Ti finish options are available, with standard paint schemes also an option. Full-custom paint and design consultation for the RT-1 is also available.

Every Mosaic RT-1 that leaves Above Category is custom-built for the individual, with geometry and tubeset choice based on your answers to our questions about your riding style, current bike setup, riding/racing aspirations, and biomechanical dimensions.
