Look has a long history of winning on the track. They are responsible for the most medals in Olympic history with 43, 14 of which are gold. Look has been in a partnership with the French Federation for over 30 years and provides some of the best athletes on the planet with their track bikes. Despite all of the success behind them, Look engineers still work tirelessly to make their bikes faster, lighter, and more user-friendly. The Look T20 Speed is the newest iteration of their top track bike, improving in all areas compared to its predecessor, the R96. You will see this bike at every major event, at the Olympics, and possibly in your home.
The Look T20 dropped a ton of weight in its quest for perfection. When fully built up, it is about 800 grams lighter than the R96, hitting the UCI limit. Built up, it is most efficient with Corima wheels. Because of the massive power track athletes pump into their bikes, low weight needs to be met with stiffness. Compared to its predecessor, the T20 is 25 percent stiffer at the bottom bracket, 12.5 percent stiffer at the rear triangle, and 12 percent stiffer at the headtube. The one-piece ZED crankset helps you transfer all that power from legs to bike in the most efficient way possible. Look claims it to be 200 percent stiffer than any other crankset.
When it comes to speed, aerodynamics play a huge role. Like everything else on the T20, its aero efficiency was greatly improved from the R96. The T20 reduces drag by 11 percent more than its predecessor. Combine this with its low weight and high stiffness and you have a new frame that has 27 percent more power transfer and a 30 watt gain at full speed. That is equivalent to about the length of the bike over a 200 meter sprint. CFD Technology was used to dial in the perfect aero shape of the frame, helping the rear triangle mesh perfectly with a rotating wheel. The Look T20 Speed is simply one of the fastest and most powerful bikes in existence.
To ride your fastest, you need to find your perfect and most powerful position. To accommodate all riders, the T20 is equipped with near infinite setup options and maximum adjustability. It comes in four frame sizes, six crank lengths for each of the two different ZED crank options, and 18 stem lengths that are adjustable to any angle. A new customized seatpost offers four different seat tube angles. It can also be cut and adjusted with up to 15mm of spacers beneath it. The Look T20 Speed is a new dominant force in track cycling and will push you to your fastest times.
